FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are we allowed to bring alcohol to an ASPIRE Studio event or class?
Yes, of course! Classes are BYOB, and you are welcome to bring any wine, beer, or non-alcoholic beverages (no hard liquor) with you to the class. You may also bring any snacks/food you would like to eat as well. We provide bottle openers and glasses for your beverages.
Are your events open seating?
At our public classes, we do preassigned seating for large classes. We find this makes it easier to accommodate large and small groups with ease. When you register, there will be a place where you can indicate those that are in your group so that we can assure that we are able to seat you together. You can always contact us at [email protected] or call us at 862-239-1151 with the names in your group also.
How long does an ASPIRE Studio event last?
Our typical class times for our kids paintings is 1.5-2 hours, and for our adult paintings is 2 or 3 hours, depending on the painting.
Can each person choose their own painting?
No, our Instructor will teach the same painting to the entire class, step by step from start to finish, but we encourage experimentation! Each person is encouraged to put his/her own special touches to their painting, and if you’d like to change the colors in a painting, please just let us know ahead of time.
Do we have to paint it exactly the way the instructor does?
Of course not! We encourage you to play and make any changes you like. It’s your painting!
What time do I need to arrive for a class/party?
We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before a class/party is supposed to begin. This allows time to check in, grab an apron, uncork and pour, and get settled into your seat. Please note that when you are late, you hold up everyone else in the class, so be ready for dirty looks from your classmates if you arrive late. If you are 15 minutes late, you will have to catch up on your own, and if you are 30 minutes late, we have the right to not allow you to paint and your payment will be forfeited.
Can I reserve seats for my friends so we can sit together?
Yes, registering under one reservation will seat your group together. If you are reserving your seats separately, be sure to indicate who is part of your group on the registration form.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Age recommendations are shown on each individual event. Typically, our classes are for ages 12 and up, unless otherwise noted in the event description. We also offer special kids classes for ages 6 and up. Check out our calendar for more information.
Who is the instructor?
We have four Artist Instructors – Barbara, Rachel, Leni, and Cristina. For bios and interesting tidbits on our Artists, please visit the “About Us” page.
Can I stop in anytime and paint?
Our studio is only open during scheduled classes and private parties. We occasionally have open painting times where you may paint unassisted. Check out our website calendar for dates and times.
What is the minimum number of people I need to hold a private party?
We require a minimum of 10 people for a private party. We can accommodate parties for up to 50 people (25 if it’s a children’s party). If you agree to hold a party and only 9 people come, you will still be charged for the 10th person. There is no minimum for attending a public event.
How much does it cost to host a private party at ASPIRE Studio?
Our private party prices are as follows:
- KIDS Party Package (recommended for kids ages 6+):
- 2.5-3 hour party (1.5-2 hours is for painting)
- Kids painting selection
- Minimum requirement of 10 painters ($250)
- Each additional painter after first 10 is $20 each
- Party Package A (recommended for adults and kids ages 12+):
- 3 hour party
- 2-hour painting selection
- Minimum requirement of 10 painters ($350)
- Each painter is $35.
- Party Package B (recommended for adults and kids ages 12+):
- 4 hour party
- 3-hour painting selection
- Minimum requirement of 10 painters ($450)
- Each painter is $45.
We require a $100 deposit and a credit card number to hold the reservation. Should you need to cancel your party, you must notify us at least 7 days in advance for a refund of the $100 deposit. If you cancel with less than 7 days notice, the $100 will not be refunded. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice OR if you do not notify us of cancellation and are a no-show to your party, an additional $150 will be charged to the credit card we have on file, NO EXCEPTIONS.
I want to host a private party? How do I do that?
If you are interested in hosting a private party, please contact Alicia at 862-239-1151 or at [email protected] Alicia is at the studio from 5-6/6:30pm weeknights (sometimes later if there’s a class) and varying times on Saturdays and Sundays (typically 12-1pm). You may leave a voicemail anytime, and Alicia will get back to you. No discounts, coupons, or vouchers will be accepted for private parties.
I want to host a party with a specific theme, but don’t see a painting in the gallery that matches that theme. Can I request a new painting?
We would be happy to create a painting specifically for your event. An additional, non-refundable fee of $100 is required for custom paintings. Once your event is over, we have the right to use the custom painting for our gallery as we see fit.
I want to host a fundraiser. How does that work?
Each organization is unique, so we work with you to suit your organizations’ specific needs. When we have an ASPIRE’d Hearts event, we will donate 50% of the proceeds from the event to the charity. How do I sign up for a private event that I’m invited to?
The host of the party will provide you with the information you will need to register for the event. Essentially, you’ll be given a passcode that will allow you to register for the private event on our website. The event is only open to people that the host invites.
How does the loyalty program work?
The ASPIRE’d Admirers Club is for our loyal customers, whom we appreciate so much. It’s free to join, and for every 5 classes you attend, you will get the 6th class free! Enter your email address and we will track the number of classes you attend. Please note that guests do not count as individual sign ups. When registering for class, please make sure to use the email address you used when signing up for the Club. Only you can attend the class; nobody can attend in your place. Once you’ve attended 5 classes, you’ll receive a special promo code that you can use to register for your 6th class for free.
Can I buy a gift certificate for another person?
Yes, you can purchase a gift certificate at our studio. Coming soon, we hope to have the option of purchasing digital gift certificates.
Can someone come in my place?
Yes. Your name will be on the guest list. It is not necessary to change the name on your reservation. Just have your friend give your name during check-in and they will be all set to paint.
Do I need to register in advance?
Yes, advance registration is highly recommended, as our events may sell out or may be cancelled due to lack of reservations. We are able to accommodate walk-ins to any public class if there are still open seats, however, if there have not been any reservations up to 2 hours prior to class start-time (whether online or by phone), class will be canceled. Best bet is to reserve your seats online.
How do I sign up for an art class open to the public?
Visit our event calendar to see which painting and when it is being featured. Then select the class you want to join, choose how many seats you are reserving, and fill in the rest of the fields on the registration form. If you are having any difficulty, you can also email us at [email protected] or call us at 862-239-1151.
If an event is sold out, do you have a waiting list?
Yes, to be added to a waiting list for a class, send an email with the class date and time, your name, and your phone number to [email protected] If a seat becomes available, you will notified and have the option to register at that time.
Are walk-ins welcome without a reservation?
Yes, you can arrive before a class without a reserved seat, however, our classes may sell out or be cancelled and we don’t want to disappoint you. We also reserve the right to cancel a class if there are fewer than 4 reservations. For these reasons, we highly recommend signing up in advance, expecially when you want to sit with friends. Do you serve food?
No, but please feel free to bring your own snacks
Is there parking available at ASPIRE Studio?
We have limited parking in our lot in the back. This lot is shared with the residents. Please do not park in any of the first 4 spots on the left upon entering the lot.
There’s also street parking on Union Blvd and its’ cross-streets.
There’s also parking in the Community Center across Union Blvd from us that our customers are allowed to use when they are closed.
Please be careful when walking across Union Blvd, as it is a very busy street.
Will I be able to take my painting home with me at the end of the class?
Yes, we use paint that dries quickly, so your painting is ready to take home at the end of the event.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code. Feel free to dress up as you wish, however, wear something that you don’t mind getting a little paint on permanently. We paint with acrylic paint, but don’t worry, we also provide aprons.
Where is ASPIRE Studio located?
We are located at 394 Union Blvd in Totowa. The plaza is at the corner of Union Blvd and Redman Place.
Are you affiliated with any other Paint ‘n Sip studio?
No, we are an independent, locally-owned studio.
What do I bring to class?
We provide all the materials you will need, however, you will need to bring your own snacks and beverages.
I haven’t painted since elementary school and have little artistic ability. Will I be able to finish the painting?
You do not need to have an artistic background to take our classes. Our classes are designed for beginners with no experience. Come try us out! You may be pleasantly pleased with your masterpiece!
When do you post your monthly class calendar?
We will do our best to post the following month’s calendar by the 20th of the current month.
Can we post pictures on social media?
During each class, we reserve the right to take photos for use on our social media sites. If you do not want your picture taken for these purposes, be sure to let us know so we respect your privacy. We also encourage you to take your own pictures and share on your social media. Please tag us when you do, as sometimes we give chances for some cool prizes! I signed up for Paint-Your-Pet. What do I need to do?
Once you sign up, send us an email at [email protected] with your name and class date and time, and a digital photo of your pet (please, one pet only). We will have your canvas ready and at your class, the instructor will lead you step by step through the painting.
What is your cancellation policy?
A credit card is required for reservations and any cancellation request must be made at least 48 hours prior to the registered class start time in order to receive a refund or credit to another class of equal value.
If you are a “no show” with no notification or if you give less than 48 hours notice, your credit card will be charged for each seat that you reserved.
If you were paying with a voucher or coupon, you will lose the promotional value of the voucher or coupon.
If you are 15 minutes late to the class, you will have to catch up on your own, and if you are 30 minutes late to class, you may not be allowed to paint and your payment will be forfeited.

ASPIRE Studio reserves the right to cancel classes for unforeseen circumstances, intermittent weather conditions, or if minimum class size (4) is not met. Guests will be notified at least 24 hours prior to class time and studio credit will be provided.
What is the inclement weather policy?
Class will be cancelled if a weather emergency is declared or we determine that the roads are too unsafe to travel. If you cannot drive to the studio, please let us know as soon as you can, and class credit will be given.
